The 4ft × 2.5ft single goal is the most sensible starting point of these four if space is tight. It has the smallest footprint and lowest listed price. Before buying, measure the usable playing area rather than just the lawn.

4ft × 2.5ft or 6ft × 4ft?

For casual garden football, size should be chosen around available space, budget and how the goal will be used. A smaller target can make accuracy drills more demanding. If your garden comfortably accommodates the extra width, a 6ft × 4ft goal gives a larger target for finishing practice; if space is the limiting factor, 4ft × 2.5ft is the safer place to start.

Which would we choose?

For the smallest gardens, we'd start with the 4ft × 2.5ft single. For a medium-sized garden where the larger frame still leaves comfortable playing space, we'd consider the 6ft × 4ft single. The two-packs are more compelling for small-sided games than solo practice.
